Membership

The 10 councils with frontage to Port Phillip Bay are member councils of the Association. Member councils are represented on the association by a councillor, alternate councillor and staff officer delegate.

A number of State Government Departments and agencies participate on the ABM as observers.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is responsible for the administration of the association. The Committee consists of the President, Vice President, immediate past president and any other delegate the President nominates with the agreement of the membership. The Executive is supported by the Technical Officers Group and Executive Officer.

Executive Committee Meetings are held on alternative months to the General Meeting.

President

The President generally holds the position for one year on a rotational basis. The President  is supported by the Executive Officer.

Technical Officers Group

The Technical Officers Group consists of the council officer delegate from member councils. The Technical Officers Group met on alternative months to the General Meeting to discuss issues of a technical nature and draft policy positions for membership consideration.

General Meetings

General Meetings are held every quarter at a member council venue or in Melbourne CBD. These meetings are open to all member councils and agencies.
